White Sultan
A very old ornamental breed of poultry primarily bred for Turkish rulers. These have distinguished features, including a full crest, muff and beard combined with profuse feathering on the leg and toe. Because of the heavy feathering they do little damage to gardens or landscapes. Clean, dry, and covered coops help keep the Sultan's plumage beautiful. Not classified as a production bird although hens do lay fairly well. Average mature weight: Roosters 6 lbs., Hens 4 lbs.
