Contiguous United States Shipping Rates
Meyer Hatchery ships live poultry on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays USPS Priority Mail or Priority Mail Express, depending on the poultry type and quantity ordered. Orders most commonly arrive in 2 days or less but can take up to 3. Your order should arrive no later than Saturday. Chicks are typically held at the post office and they will call you to pick them up. Please contact your local post office to determine how they handle packages of live animals or if alternative arrangements need to be made for delivery. Poultry must be picked up promptly. Hatching Egg orders ship on various days of the week USPS Priority Mail and are typically delivered with your regular mail to the address on the package. Hatching Eggs typically arrive in 2-3 days, but can take up to a week. Temporary state restrictions due to outbreaks of Avian Influenza can be viewed here.

Exclusions and Restrictions:
- NORTH DAKOTA: We are unable to ship Muscovy or Mallard ducks or hatching eggs.
- FLORIDA: We are unable to ship Mallard ducks or hatching eggs.
- ARKANSAS: We are unable to ship Mallard ducks or hatching eggs.
- NEW MEXICO: We are unable to ship Mallard ducks or hatching eggs.
- WYOMING: We are unable to ship Chukar Partridges or Ringneck Pheasants.
- RHODE ISLAND: We are unable to ship less than 12 day-old-birds.
- HAWAII: We are unable to ship waterfowl or duck hatching eggs to the state of Hawaii.
- White Mutes Swans cannot ship to California, Washington, New York, Maryland, Oregon, Hawaii, Guam, or the Virgin Islands.

Orders shipping outside of the Contiguous United States:
Alaska: Meyer Hatchery can ship any poultry breed to Alaska except Turkey Hatching Eggs. No permit is required. Chicks and poults shipped from Meyer Hatchery are shipped USPS Express Mail only. 3-14 chicks or 5-7 broad-breasted turkeys ship at a flat rate of $90.00. Rates for 15+ chicks or 8+ broad-breasted turkeys are calculated at checkout and are based on your zip code, quantity, and type of poultry. Waterfowl ship for the same rates as the contiguous United States. For all other orders, add $25.00 to the Simple Shipping Rate listed above. Heritage turkeys, waterfowl, gamebirds, hatching eggs, and all free ship poultry will ship USPS Priority Mail.
We are able to ship all supplies except vaccinations to Alaska.
Hawaii: Meyer Hatchery is able to ship standard and bantam-size chicks (non-free-ship birds) and chicken hatching eggs ONLY to Hawaii. We are not able to ship started pullets or any other poultry breed type. All orders shipping to Hawaii must have a physical address and a permit is required, which will be obtained for you by Meyer Hatchery. Please select a ship date that is 2-3 weeks out, to allow time to complete the necessary paperwork. Live poultry orders are shipped USPS Express Mail only. 3-14 chicks ship at a flat rate of $90.00. 15+ is calculated at checkout, based on your zip code, quantity, and type of chicks. For orders of hatching eggs, add $25.00 to the above Simple Shipping Rate.

Guam: Meyer Hatchery is able to ship standard and bantam-size chicks (non-free-ship birds) as well as waterfowl and duck hatching eggs ONLY to Guam. We are not able to ship other fowl hatching eggs, started pullets, or any other poultry breed type. All orders shipping to Guam must have a physical address and a permit is required. Meyer Hatchery will supply the NPIP certificate based on the birds ordered so you are able to obtain the required permit, which must be remitted to Meyer Hatchery prior to shipment. Please select a ship date that is 2-3 weeks out, to allow time to complete the necessary paperwork. Live poultry orders are shipped USPS Express Mail only, and rates are calculated at checkout, based on your zip code, quantity, and type of chicks. Once an order is placed in our system, we will e-mail you the necessary documents and details to obtain the permit.

We are able to ship all supplies except vaccinations to the Virgin Islands.
Everywhere else: Meyer Hatchery is not able to ship outside of the United States. We are, therefore, unable to ship to Canada, Mexico, or any other country.
Merchandise
Merchandise ordered from Meyer Hatchery will be shipped within 48 business hours and should arrive to you within 5-7 business days, depending on the shipping method chosen at checkout. We do not ship merchandise on the same day as a hatch, which means we typically ship merchandise Tuesday through Friday; due to their perishable nature, vaccines will never ship on a Friday or if a holiday interferes with them arriving the following day. Some of our merchandise is shipped directly from the manufacturer. These items are notated on the website and may take up to 3 weeks to ship. Shipping rates are by weight and will be calculated by the cart.
Meyer Hatchery is not able to ship outside of the United States. We are, therefore, unable to ship to Canada, Mexico, or any other country.
Hatching Partners
Meyer Hatchery partners with a select few trusted hatching partners to provide species we do not hatch on site. This includes our waterfowl, duck hatching eggs, heritage turkeys, guineas, game birds, Cornish Cross, Ranger Broilers, Golden Buff, quail hatching eggs, duck hatchign eggs, guinea hatching eggs, as well as exotic juvenile fowl. Different species have unique environments, breeding programs, incubating, and hatching requirements, and we leave those types of poultry to the experts in their field. Some of these hatching partners are located outside of the state of Ohio. You will still enjoy the same shipping time frames, product guarantees, and customer service offered on anything you order from Meyer Hatchery. Because these hatching partners are offsite, these items are not available for pick up, and there is the occasional delay in tracking number receipt.
Meyer Hatchery is a member of the National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP). Our NPIP number is 31-184 and our status is U.S. Pullorum-Typhoid Clean w/added classification -- H5/H7 AI Clean and Salmonella Monitored.
