IMPORTANT ORDERING INFORMATION: Eggs are collected fresh on Mondays from the breeding flock and shipped Tuesdays by USPS Priority Mail. We guarantee that your eggs will arrive unbroken, but will not guarantee your hatching success because of the many variables with shipping, incubating and hatching. Breakage must be reported upon arrival. Guinea Hatching Eggs are not able to be picked up as they are sent from our partner hatchery. Assorted Guinea Hatching Eggs are a great way to hatch your very own flock of guinea fowl. These eggs are sold by the dozen and this colorful assortment will include at least 3 varieties per dozen. Possible varieties included are: Pearl, White, Lavender, Coral Blue, and Royal Purple; other varieties may be included but the majority will be the colors listed above. The coloring variation may be subtle, but to a guinea enthusiast, it’s like collecting the rainbow. Guineas are wonderful for pest control and are known to alert birds and humans alike to daytime predators, so they are also great for guarding and free-range environments. Guinea hens can lay 60-100 eggs per year, but they do tend to hide their nests. Guineas have rich, dark, flavorful meat and are considered a delicacy in many areas. Male guineas weigh about 3.5 pounds and females about 3 pounds. They can easily fly short distances and like to roost high in trees.
