Heritage turkeys have a combined minimum of 20--you are able to mix and match among these and any heritage turkey to meet your minimum. This option is offered as straight run only.
Our straight run Broad Breasted White Turkeys are the perfect choice for the homesteader in search of a faster-growing bird with sweet, succulent tender meat. Also known as the “Cadillac” of turkeys this breed is also used by large commercial producers. This breed is known for fast growth, great feed conversion rates. Another perk of this breed is it’s white plumage. White pin feathers make for a cleaner presentation when dressed.
Broad Breasted Turkeys are typically ready for processing at 16-22 weeks. Broad Breasted Turkeys are a special hybrid that we have fine-tuned over many generations specifically for fast growth rates for meat production. Because they are a hybrid, you cannot cross a male and female Broad Breasted Turkey and hatch out more Broad Breasted Turkeys. Additionally, for their own health and well-being, Broad Breasted Turkeys should not be kept beyond their processing age of 16-22 weeks.
