Meyer Hatchery’s Signature Black Broad Breasted Turkey Hatching Eggs are light in color with brown speckles and should hatch approximately 28 days after being set. Signature Black Broad Breasted Turkeys are a great alternative to both other broad breasted turkeys and heritage. Why? You get the best of both worlds! These turkeys do well in free-range and pasture settings. Additionally, as a broad breasted turkey, they should have plenty of white meat! Since they tend to be on the smaller side when compared to other broad breasted turkeys, they offer some flexibility in processing time. At 16-22 weeks old, one can expect the hens to weigh about 20 pounds and toms about 29 pounds.
