IMPORTANT ORDERING INFORMATION: Eggs are collected fresh on Mondays from our breeding flock and shipped Tuesdays by USPS Priority Mail or FedEx. Hatching Eggs are labeled with breed code to help with ID during incubation. Eggs can be shipped year-round, but please use your own discretion when ordering during extreme weather. We guarantee that your eggs will arrive unbroken, but will not guarantee your hatching success because of the many variables with shipping, incubating, and hatching. Breakage must be reported upon arrival.
Mottled Cochin Bantam Hatching Eggs are brown to tinted in color. The Mottled Cochin Bantam breed will bring dense, long, soft plumage and a poofy tail. Beautiful, black feathers will have an iridescent green sheen to them and may be tipped in white, which creates the mottled appearance. They do have feathers on their legs and feet, so care should be taken in the winter. Like their full-size counterparts, the cochin bantams are docile and hens often go broody. You can expect 4-6 brown to tinted eggs each week. Males should be around 36 ounces and females around 30 ounces when fully grown.
