The Silver Penciled Rock is the newest and rarest addition to our family of Plymouth Rock Chickens. The lovely silver and black penciling on the breast and body feathers of these hens offer a fresh option to your flock while maintaining the hearty, dual-purpose Rock heritage. The roosters are proud-looking with glossy black breast and tail feathers. Their neck and saddle feathers are black with silver edging. These hard-to-find Silver Penciled Rocks are slower to mature than more common color varieties of Plymouth Rock, but will reliably lay around 3-5 brown eggs per week.
Average mature weight: roosters 7 1/2 lbs., hens 6 lbs.
