Tuxedo Assorted Coturnix Quail Hatching Eggs are a beautiful variety of quail. This assortment of hatching eggs will include quail that present with a tuxedo feather pattern in the following colors, Rosetta, Scarlet (Range), Tibetan, Grau Fee, or Panda.
The feather presentation for the Tuxedo Coturnix Quail is a colored back that spreads onto the base of the wings with the rest of the wing being predominantly white. The chest will also be white, giving the appearance of a tuxedo. The tuxedo pattern can be expected to hatch true for 50% while the remaining 50% will be solid-colored quail.
Tuxedo breeds are not sexable by appearance and will have to be vent-sexed to determine gender. Ideally, this is performed at 8-10 weeks of age. Maturity is reached at 10 weeks of age and adult birds will weigh 8.7 - 9.4 ounces. Hens will begin laying at 10 weeks of age and yearly production will be 290-320 speckled eggs. Eggs will weigh approximately 13.3-13.7 grams.
