Breeder Facility Team Member
The Breeder Facility Team Member will perform duties at the poultry breeding facility/barn. This position will ensure the highest quality of animal care and maintain the integrity of Meyer Hatchery at all times. It includes egg collection, cleaning, sorting, and general maintenance while maintaining the health of the breeder birds - various hours and days of the week.
Skills:
Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks as assigned. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers. Previous hatchery experience is beneficial. Must be comfortable handling live chicks.
Physical:
Must be able to stand for extended periods during all shifts. Requires crouching, bending, and repetitive movements of the hands, arms, and shoulders. Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and adapting to both indoor and outdoor environments. Exposure to poultry dust and chemicals is expected.

Shipping Team
The Shipping Associate must have the ability to receive, understand, and carry out directions in a fast-paced shipping, warehouse, poultry, and hatchery environment. Position duties may include: Transfer of eggs from carts, packing egg orders, packing live chick orders, building boxes, and an understanding of appropriate box sizes, packing materials, moving larger birds to assigned locations, assisting with setting up for hatch day, cleaning up post-hatch day, sweeping, and washing. This position will ensure the highest quality of animal care and maintain the integrity of Meyer Hatchery at all times.
Skills:
Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accordingly. Self-motivated to perform assigned duties, work effectively as part of a team, and collaborate with fellow employees. Previous hatchery experience is beneficial. Must be able to do basic math and handle live chicks.
Physical:
Ability to stand for extended periods throughout all shifts. Requires crouching, bending, and repetitive movements of the hands, arms, and shoulders. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and adjust to various outdoor weather conditions. Exposure to poultry dust and chemicals is expected.
