The Khaki Campbell duck was developed by Adele Campbell in Gloucestershire, UK. The coloring of the ducks was reminiscent of British Army uniforms, prompting her to add Khaki to the breed name in 1901. Ms. Campbell selected for carcass weight and high egg production and the result is a domestic favorite for eggs, producing an impressive 165-240 eggs per year. Khaki Campbell Ducklings take 28 days to hatch.
