Egyptian Fayoumi Chickens are small birds originating in Egypt. This breed of chicken has been around since the pharaohs ruled the land and closely related to the Campine. They are quite uncommon here in the United States but valued for their hardiness to many poultry ailments. As active foragers, they make a great bird for free-range flocks. Great producers of white eggs, laying 3-5 weekly. Fayoumi's occasionally go broody and are very hardy in hot weather.
